Diagnostics

Why are diagnostics so important? When a vehicle arrives to our shop with a check engine light on, the first thing we do is diagnostic testing.

A standard OBD-II code reader (often used at parts shops) will only reveal the basic cause of the problem. To get to the root of the problem, you need an advanced scanner. The scanners we use at both of our locations gather more advanced readings on certain functions to give you access to multiple systems and components in your vehicle to pinpoint the cause.

Transparency is an important key while your vehicle is scheduled for diagnostics. Before bringing your vehicle into the shop we gather as much information as we can, which may seem like a lot of questions. All the information we obtain, we pass on to our technicians. They can utilize this information to know exactly where to start diagnosing. We value your trust in our team here at Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions and want to get you back on the road safely and as timely as we can.
